A NEWSLETTER FOR THE WESTRIDGE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Principal's Message

Hello Westridge Students, Families, and Community Members,

💙 Week 10: Keep Going, Warriors!

We have officially reached Week 10! Ten weeks of learning, growing, making memories, and figuring out what it means to be a Warrior. As we close the first quarter, this is a great time to stop and think:
Am I where I want to be?

If the answer is yes, keep going! If the answer is no, there is still time to make a change.
Don't Let Tardies Become a Habit

We are continuing to track tardies, and being on time to class continues to be an expectation.
Students, challenge yourself to beat the bell every period, every day. Get to class, get settled, and be ready to learn. Being on time is one of those small habits that can make a BIG difference.

House Pride Is Everywhere!
Our Houses continue to bring energy and excitement to campus! As the competition continues, remember that every Warrior has an opportunity to contribute. Your effort, your attitude, your participation, and your choices all matter. Don't worry about whether your House is currently in first place. Worry about whether YOU are doing your part to help your House. The leaderboard can change quickly!

Choose Your Circle Wisely
As we move through the school year, friendships and relationships become an important part of the middle school experience. Choose people who encourage you to make good decisions, work hard, and be yourself. And be that person for someone else. A good friend doesn't encourage you to get in trouble, skip class, argue with adults, or make a bad decision just for a laugh.

Surround yourself with people who make you better.
Week 10 Challenge: Take Ownership

This week, challenge yourself to take ownership of one thing.
Maybe it's your grades.
Maybe it's your attendance.
Maybe it's getting to class on time.
Maybe it's your behavior.
Maybe it's the way you speak to others.
Whatever it is, don't wait for someone else to fix it for you.
Own it. Work on it. Improve it.

Ten weeks down. We still have a lot of year left—and a lot of opportunities ahead.
Let's keep moving forward, Warriors!

Have a great Week 10!
Let's finish what we started, Warriors! 💙
Go Warriors!
