Westridge Warriors Weekly - Week of September 21, 2026

Hello Westridge Students, Families, and Community Members,

Welcome to Week 7! Last week brought some extra energy and excitement to campus as our Warriors officially joined their Houses! Our House System is about much more than colors, competitions, and points. It is about creating connection, belonging, teamwork, and PRIDE throughout our school.

Now that the Houses are official, the fun really begins!

🏠 You Have a House—Now Represent It!

Every Warrior now has another team cheering them on.

Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to earn points for their House by demonstrating positive behaviors, participating in school activities and competitions, showing school spirit, and making choices that positively impact our campus.

Remember—every student contributes to the success of their House.

That means the little things matter:

We can't wait to see our Houses build their own traditions, friendly rivalries, and memories throughout the year!

📚 Progress Reports = A Checkpoint, Not a Finish Line

Progress reports have gone home, so now is a great time for students and families to have a conversation about academic progress.

Ask yourself:

If the answer is yes—keep going!

If the answer is no—that's okay, but now it's time to make a plan.

Check for missing assignments. Talk to your teachers. Ask questions when you don't understand something. Use your class time wisely and take advantage of opportunities for additional help.

There is still plenty of time to improve, but don't wait until the end of the quarter to get started.

🔔 Beat the Bell!

We are continuing to monitor tardies, and students should now be comfortable navigating their schedules and getting from class to class.

Being on time isn't just about avoiding a tardy—it is about being ready.

When you arrive on time, you hear the directions, understand what is happening, and start class alongside everyone else.

👕 Quick Dress Code Reminder

Warriors, continue making sure you are following the Code of Student Conduct dress code each day.

Do your check before leaving home so we don't have to take time away from learning to address it at school.

When in doubt, choose something else!

🌟 Week 7 Challenge: What Will YOU Contribute?

Being part of a House means you belong to something—but belonging also means contributing to it.

This week, think about what you bring to your House, your classroom, and our school.

Maybe you're the person who encourages someone else.

Maybe you're the student who works hard even when something is difficult.

Maybe you invite someone to sit with you at lunch.

Maybe you participate when everyone else is afraid to try.

Maybe you simply make the choice to do the right thing when no one is watching.

Those choices may seem small, but together they create the culture of our school.

🏠 Your House is counting on you. Your school is counting on you. Most importantly—YOU should be counting on yourself.

Keep working. Keep growing. Keep showing your Warrior PRIDE!

Our teachers have been hard at work preparing engaging lessons and activities. This week, we encourage students to actively participate in class discussions and seek help when needed. Please help us to encourage every student to participate in class. Remember, asking questions is a key part of the learning process!

We want to remind everyone about the importance of regular attendance. Being on time and present not only supports your academic success but also fosters a sense of community. Let’s strive for a strong start by making every school day count!

Car riders please make sure to follow the carline and not allow your student to walk through traffic. Safety needs to be our number one priority.

Students should not be on campus prior to 8:45 AM. If you need to drop off prior to 8:45 AM, please register your student for the YMCA Before School Program. Information can be found here. In addition, the first period begins at 9:30 AM.  

Volleyball tryouts are October 7.

Spirit Run is Feb 6.

Athletic paperwork and physicals must be completed and properly uploaded in Aktivate. Volleyball practices will be conducted every day for approximately 1.5 – 2 hours after dismissal time. Athletes are expected to attend all of the practices unless they have arranged with the coach otherwise. Athletes are required to have and maintain a 2.0 average and exhibit leadership and good behavior to be considered and remain on any Westridge sports team. Parents need to opt IN to clinic services. This means that unless you have completed the health forms we will not be able to assist your student in the clinic. Health forms can be completed digitally on Skyward Family Access or you can fill out the forms and turn them into the main office. Those forms can be found below.  

Please make sure all-important parent/guardian information is up-to-date in skyward.
