General Information: 

  • Students are required to take their Florida State Assessment on school campus and are not permitted to take the assessment remotely. 
  • All students will need to wear a face mask the entire time they are on campus.
  • Students should arrive to school by 9:30 a.m. on their designated day.  Please report to the outside basketball court located by the parent car loop, next to the gymnasium.   
  • Students should bring their fully charged OCPS device.  If they do not have one, one will be provided to them. 
  • Students will be provided a snack once they have completed their assessment.
  • Students will then transition to the cafeteria at 1:30 p.m. and sit socially distanced for lunch. 
  • Students will remain in the cafeteria for the remainder of the day and participate in their classes via LaunchED. 
  • Students will be dismissed at 3:50 p.m., a few minutes before we dismiss our face to face students. 
  • You may pick up your child if you choose, any time after 1:00 p.m.  Please come to the front office with identification. 
  • Again, if you choose not to pick up your child prior to dismissal at 3:50 p.m., all students will remain in the cafeteria for the remainder of the day and participate in their classes via LaunchED.  
  • The Writing test is 123 minutes long plus time for instructions. 
  • If your student has accommodations they could take up to the whole school day.
Practice Tests:
  • 6th grade students do not need to complete a practice test due to their test being paper and pencil.
  • 7th and 8th grade students must complete the practice test so they are familiar with the testing platform

Steps for completing the practice test

  1. Click here
  2. Click the box that reads “Take the Computer-Based Practice Tests”
  3. Click the green box that reads “Sign In”
  4. Select the student grade level from the drop down
  5. Click on the purple “Start Grade ___ (7 or 8) ELA Writing Practice Test
  6. Make any changes based on your students accommodations and accessibility settings and click the green “Select” box
  7. View Test Settings and Help Guide as needed
  8. Click the green box that reads “Begin Test Now”
  9. Make sure your student is comfortable with testing the features of the testing platform

ALL Makeups will be administered on 4/14 through 4/16 based on PBT and CBT administration groups.
